URLQ Chairman Martin Unicomb is excited to announce the Universities Rugby League
Queensland
will select a representative team from the South-East Qld Universities competition to play Brisbane Second Divisions U20 representative team as a curtain raiser to the third State of
Origin
game at Suncorp Stadium on
Wednesday 4 July 2007

Mr Bill Hunter (QRL Competitions Manager & former Divisional Manager of the South East) a great supporter of the URLQ confirmed the curtain raiser on the weekend.
"This is a real boost for the Universities Rugby League in
Queensland,
and on the back of a successful start to the South East Universities Competition we are absolutely wrapped with the recognition and support for our league" said Mr Unicomb.
With over 140 registered players in the URLQ competition selectors will have their hands full in the coming weeks selecting 17 players to battle the talented second division representative outfit at Rugby Leagues premier venue.
