If you haven’t already seen the initial correspondence here’s a quick email to bring you up to date with our 2nd annual Evolution of the Athlete - Coach Education Conference to be held at UQ on 26-28th October 2008.
Overview of the 2008 Conference
- Designed to provide coaches with the latest information, strategies and methods of improving athlete performance and their own performance
- The new CEO of Coles Group, Ian McLeod (former CEO of the Scottish football team, Celtic and director with the Scottish Premier League) will present in the final session
- This years theme will centre around the Olympic Sports with the Queensland Olympic Council supporting the event
- Aims to attract over 300 delegates and 30 presenters
- Delegates will come from the youth coaching, school coaching, elite coaching, academy coaching and sports science sectors of the industry (including Olympic Coaches)
- Speakers include Ric Charlesworth (Hockey), John Buchanan (Cricket), Phil Jauncey (Sports Psychology) and Drew Ginn (Rowing).
Your assistance in promoting the conference (including international contacts) would be greatly appreciated. It would be terrific if you could assist in helping us get the message out there by;
- Distributing conference marketing material to your network of coaches, clubs and industry professionals (we’ve prepared an email to cut and paste below)
- Advertising the conference on your website(s)
- Endorsing the conference as an opportunity for Registered Coaches and associated staff to improve their knowledge.
