The URLQ Round 2 clash between the Griffith Panthers and the Griffith Dragons has had a venue change. The match, that was to be played at Runaway Bay, will now be played at the Griffith Nathan campus at 8.30pm, straight after the QUT Trouts vs UQ Gatton Bulls game at 7pm.
The URLQ competition kicked off with a massive triple header at Griffith Nathan Campus on Anzac Day...
A RUGBY league success story is the University Rugby League competition which starts on Anzac Day. The competition has grown from four to six teams with USQ Toowoomba re-joining and a new team Griffith Logan. The others are Griffith Nathan, Griffith Gold Coast, UQ Gatton and QUT (who have my favourite nickname-emblem, the QUT Trouts!) It all leads to a rep program that includes a game against NSW Universities in October to pick a national team for the 2013 World Cup in Wales.
